Whether you’re juggling parties, present shopping or platters of food, keep your cool and feel pulled together with the tips below.

1. Take stock and realign yourself

‘Take a moment today to contemplate how you might weave more of what serves you. Let go of what doesn’t’, advises Monique Van Tulder, Midlife Mentor. ‘When my life takes on too much accumulation, too many commitments, too many deadlines, too much time inside, too much time chasing shiny objects and opportunities, not enough sleep, a drift from prioritising health, then I’m out of whack. 2. Dress to feel brighter

Disguise a hangover by wearing a comfortable feeling, better-than-usual looking outfit. Add an interesting accessory and some good sunnies. Wearing something dark (unless it’s sharp black) and slouchy will make you feel low and slow. This summer, a matching set – shirt and shorts or pants is perfect. Easy, looks fab, but feels like you’re in your pj’s.

3. Fake healthy-looking skin
